"Shreenivasa KalyaanOthsava" Saturday, September 25th, 2010, In Shri Krishna Vrundavana ShrinivAsa KalyaaNa This KalyaanOthsavA is the fascinating story of the wedding between Shri MahALakshmi in the form of PadmAvathi with Shriman NaaraayaNa in in the form of Venkateshwara. This Shrinivasa roopa is considered the chaturyuga-murthy, meaning that He is worshipped in all the four yugA-s and believed to provide immense phala to all devotees. Many Puranas extol the greatness of the ShrinivAsa KalyaaNa especially the BhavishyOthara Purana. It provides a detailed composition of the wedding, making one feel transposed to that time. Since the beginnings of Daasa Sahithya all the great Daasa-s have composed 100s of texts in prose and poetry on ShrinivAsa KalyaaNa; this includes the Karnataka Sangeetha PithAmahA Shri Purandara Daasa of the 15th Century.
